Anthem Pizza is a community-driven enterprise that helps local people in need and projects we care about get a fairer share of the pie.
It’s also really awesome pizza boxed in an amazing collectible work of art, available exclusively online from delivery services like Skip, Uber Eats, Doordash, etc.
Awesome? It’s pizza. Flat, round, topped with incredibly delicious things and baked in a super-hot oven with love, by people who are passionate about the climate and the soil and what we do and make and eat. But beyond that, who cares, right? It’s pizza.
Except Anthem Pizzas are made with a special ingredient.
Purpose.
Every quarter, a generous slice of Anthem Pizza proceeds goes to three non-profit institutions.
Unison Benevolent Fund (https://www.unisonfund.ca). Unison helps professional Canadian music-makers in times of hardship, illness or economic difficulties, by providing counselling and emergency relief services.
Movember (https://ca.movember.com). Since 2003, Movember has funded more than 1,250 men’s health projects around the world. Their goal is to reduce the number of men dying prematurely by 25% by the year 2030.
BC Children's Hospital Foundation (https://www.bcchf.ca). BC Children’s is the only hospital in the province devoted exclusively to children. One million kids count on the hospital for specialized care they often can’t receive anywhere else.
So, with our special Pizza with Purpose program, not only do you get a delicious pizza delivered to your door, you get that deliciously warm feeling inside when you know you’ve done something good for other people.
And all this comes in a box is actually an original, limited edition artwork done by a local artist.
Righteous causes, cool art, and awesome pizzas named after phenomenal music and musicians: Sabotage (Beastie Boys), Ace of Spades (Motörhead), Hot Honey, Stay Free (The Clash), Sublime, Blah-Blah-Blah (Iggy Pop) and finally, Hunky Dory (David Bowie), our version of the ham and pineapple classic.
Ham and pineapple? Fuck, yeah. Why? Because we can. Because this is Pizza with Purpose, not Attitude. We’re not going to argue about its authenticity or rattle on about its roots in Naples or Brooklyn or Copenhagen, we’ve got better things to do, and so do you. Eat it with your hands or a fork and knife, chew it 32 times or fold it in two and shove it straight down your pie-hole, we couldn’t care less. What we do care about is where we live and how everyone’s doing here, especially those having a harder time than the rest of us.
That is our Anthem, sung loud, hardcore and rebellious.
